HUDSON, Wis. – A 10 p.m. curfew went into effect in this border town that draws revelers from Minnesota and that had three stabbings last weekend, one fatal. Minnesota’s COVID drinking rules are stricter than Wisconsin’s. The curfew applies to17-year-olds on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Mayor Rich O’Connor proposed the curfew to address growing weekend hooliganism, vandalism and violence in the downtown bar district. The City Council unanimously approved the curfew. O’Connor asked visitors to respect local gentility. “If you are coming here just to drink and raise hell, you’re not welcome,” he said.
