Rochester plant agrees to clean up its act
ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Pollution Control fined the Rochester factory of Crenlo Cab Products for air quality and hazardous waste violations. The agency said Crenlo has paid $22,700- and completed a series of corrective actions. The company in effect admitted to violations of state permit requirements in 2019 and 2020:
> Failing to keep an updated emergency contingency plan, including hazardous waste training for staff.
> Failing to keep an updated emergency contingency plan, including hazardous waste training for staff.
> Failing to keep a current list of emission and
> Failing to keep a current list of emission and emission control equipment.
>Failing to keep inventory records of coatings and solvents.
>Missing several reporting deadlines and failing to update an operation and maintenance plan.
Crenlow profile
Crenlo manufactures operator cabs and rollover structures for construction, agricultural, and commercial equipment. The cabs are found in John Deere, Caterpillar, Case New Holland other products. Market-savvy Crenlo cabs are upscale. Latest models feature cobalt themes. Electronics include computer, broadcast and security equipment. Crenlo was acquired by Angeles Equity Partners in 2019. Angeles Equity also acquired Worthington Industries Engineered Cabs and merged the businesses. In Rochester Crenlo has 400 jobs.
Truck cabs. Although end-customers never see the brand name Credlo, its products are cabs for trucks, tractors and construction equipment.
