WEST DES MOINES, Iowa – The 280-store Hy-Vee grocery chain is hiring security officers at all stores that don’t already have hem. This includes stores in Winona, Rochester, Eau Claire and the soon-to-open Valley View mall store in LaCrosse. The company said it is looking for officers with law enforcement backgrounds. Training has been designed by the Hy-Vee retail security leaders, the company said. The officers will carry sidearms, Hy-Vee said.
