RED WING, Minn. – The man who crashed his car drunk into a Liberty’s restaurant in Red Wing during a police chase will spend 1-1/2 years in jail. Donovan Plank, 28, pleaded guilty to one count of drunken driving. Four other charges were dropped in a plea deal. Police said Plank was driving his vehicle 60 to 70 mph into the restaurant, partially collapsing the downtown historic brick building. No one was inside at the time. The building has been rebuilt and the restaurant re-opened.
