WINONA Minn. – Eight days ahead of the general election, Republican gubernatorial candidate Scott Jensen is making a whirlwind plane trip around the state Tuesday, including a 45-minute stop in Winona. His campaign said Jensen would be at the Winona airport at 9 a.m. on what he calls his “Heal Minnesota Plane Tour.” Jensen will not have time to go into town. In a six-city barn-storming tour Saturday, Jensen drew 75 people, mostly GOP faithful, to a hangar at the Rochester airport. His Tuesday schedule:
> Winona: 9.a.m, Winona Municipal Airport.
> Worthington: 11:30 a.m., Worthington Municipal Airport.
> Grand Rapids: 3 p.m., Airways Aviation Center.
> Brainerd: 4:45 p.m., Brainerd Airport.
Jensen’s running mate. Matt Birk, also will be busy airport-hopping Tuesday:
> Crookston: 12 p.m., Crookston Memorial Airport.
> Fergus Falls: 2 p.m., Fergus Falls Municipal Airport.
> Bemidji: 3:45 p.m., Bemidji Regional Airport.
