BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. – A Blair teen-ager who cruelly tortured a wild possum to death was ordered to undergo a psychiatric exam. The evidence against Nicholas Kulig, 18, was arrested after a Snapshot video was posted with him and buddies swinging the live animal by its tail and flinging into a tree, blowing vape smoke in its face, pouring beer down its throat, dropping weightlifting weights on it, stabbing it, and decapitating it with an ax. In a plea deal, a felony charge of animal cruelty was reduced to a misdemeanor pending the outcome fo the psychiatric exam. Kulig also was orded to 100 hours of community service. Charges against Cody Hagen-Anderson from the torture were dropped in July.
