ROCHESTER, Minn. – A jury has returned a split verdict for a Rochester man accused of holding a homeless woman captive for several weeks and sexually assaulting her repeatedly. Scott Ramey, 57, was guilty of third-degree criminal sexual conduct but not a first-degree charge. Sentencing was scheduled for May 13. In the meantime, the judge ordered Ramey held without bail. Ramey was arrested in January after the 20-year-old woman told police that Ramey had held her storage shed near Cooke Park and raped her eight times over the next several weeks.
