MONEY CREEK, Minn. –A 14-year-old boy was arrested near a rural address after an assault on his father. The boy was picked up walking down Cone Dale Drive as deputies were responding to a call at the family house about 8:30 p.m. The father said the boy hadn’t been listening to him all day, but he had let it go. Things escalated, the father said, when he said something to the boy about putting his water cups away so the cats wouldn’t knock them over. The boy got up. went face to face with his dad, wore at him, and struck hm on the head three times with a closed fist. A witness confirmed the father’s story, deputies said. At the Winona County jail, papers were drawn up for the county attorney to consider a domestic abuse charge.
