WINONA, Minn. – A dog being walked on a Prairie Island Park trail attacked a couple out hiking. The victim took bites to the right thigh and right forearm and needed stitches at the hospital. This was about 3:45 p.m. near the stone pavilion at the park. The couple told police the dog was a red and white pitbull or perhaps a bulldog or terrier of some sort. The boy walking the dog pulled it off, jumped into a brown car, and drove away.
