GRAND CUTE, Wis. – The Grand Chute Police Department released few details about the manhunt for Dezman Ellis, who was arrested Thursday in Iowa for a fatal shooting at Fox Valley Mall. There were hints, however, in a statement that the department issued to thank cooperating police agencies. The statement listed “the U.S. Marshals Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force consists of the Milwaukee, Green Bay, Madison, Hammond (Indiana) and Chicago offices of the U.S. Marshals Service, the Southern Iowa Fugitive Task Force, and the Appleton Police Department/Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit, who are deputized as U.S. Marshals Task Force Officers.” There were local tips too: “We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the public for the numerous tips that we received during the course of this investigation.”
