GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Green Bay-based slaughterhouse company JBS Packerland was fined $15,000 for keeping seven plants operating during the CoVid pandemic. Several workers died. The U.S. Occupational Health and Safety Administration found 357 infections had been confirmed at the plants. JBS Packerland is part of the Brazilian- owned JBS global food processing company. Its U.S. properties include former Swift and Armour plants.
