WINONA, Minn. – Temperatures peaked in the mid-30s, melting surface ice on lakes and leaving puddles on top. For overnight the National Weather Service issued a regional alert for dense fog. Visibility was expected at less than a quarter mile with temperatures in the mid-20s. The long-term: The month will end with highs in the mid-40s Wednesday.
