MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Acting Mayor Cavalier Johnson became the first African American elected to head the government of Wisconsin’s largest city. He had been serving as an interim appointee. Johnson, a Democrat won 72% of the vote in defeating Alderman Bob Donovan. Johnson is 35.
