ST.PAIL, Minn. — Coming soon to a snowplow near you. Watch in southeast Minnesota for a plow christened “Plowabunga.” The state Transportation Department’s fifth annual plow-naming contest is over. The winners were picked from 23,00000 submissions. Over five years, 44 snowplows have taken on Minnesota-inspired names. The winners this year by their MnDOT home districts:
> “We’re Off to See the Blizzard” (Southwest Minnesota).
> “Snowtorious B.I.G.” (West Central Minnesota).
> “Plowabunga” (Southeast Minnesota).
> “Anthony Sledwards” (Twin Cities).
> “You’re Welcome” (Northwest Minnesota).
> “Don’tcha Snow” (Central Minnesota).
> “Skol Plow” (Northeast Minnesota).
> “I Came, I Thaw, I Conquered” (South Central Minnesota).
