WINONA, Minn. – Police Chief Tom Williams said all evidence points to the disappearance of Madeline Kingsbury as “involuntary and suspicious.” So far, he said at a news conference, police have no suspects or persons of interest. He expressed hope that “we will find her.”  Williams was flanked at the news conference by members of the Kingsbury family, all wearing shirts with a photograph of Maddi with  the all-cap bold-face word “missing” and personal details that could help the public recognize her. Williams said the search has involved countless people on foot, in vehicles and by water and air.
