BLOOMINTON, Minn. — The executive director of the Dar Al-Farooq Islamic Center, Mohamed Omar, said the Muslim community feels especially targeted after a street attack on Imam Mohamed Mukhtar. “We shouldn’t be dealing with this,” Omar told television station KSTP. “This will create another level of fear within the community.” Mukhtar was shaken by the attack but not seriously injured.
