HALE, Wis. –A La Crosse man died from injuries in hitting a deer on his motorcycle on County Road E near Hale. Michael D. Sanding, 55, was riding south when stuck the deer and went out of control into a ditch. Trempealeau County deputies said that Sanding was dead when they arrived. He was wearing a helmet, deputies said. County Road E is a backway connecting Whitehall and Osseo. The accident was about 3 p.m.
