ROCHESTER, Minn. – A 22-year-old Rochester man led police on a 70 mph chase, swerving in and out of traffic, beginning in northeast Rochester. Police had been called to the Cenex station on River Road about 9 p.m. about a car with a flat tire that had been there for three hours with someone inside. The man awoke, then fled at high speed, police said. When police stopped the car, they arrested Nathaniel Braithwaite. In the car police said they found needles, an airsoft pistol, a flare gun and an aluminum foil with what appeared to be drugs. Among charges facing Braithwaite: Giving a false name to officers, carrying a BB gun in public, having brass knuckles and driving after revocation.
