WHTEHALL, Wis. – A judge whose usual jurisdiction is Buffalo and Pepin counties will take over rhe Geick murder case at the Trempealeau County Courthouse in Whitehall. Judge Thomas W. Clark was assigned the case after Trempealeau’s judge, Rian Radtke, recused hsmelf to avoid questions about a possible conflict of interest. Gieck is accused in the drive-by death of a motorist near Ettrick in May.
