MINNEAPOLIS — The trial of three former Minneapolis police officers charged as accessories in the death of George Floyd has been back nine months to March 2022. Judge Peter Cahill ordered the delay to allow publicity to fade from the murder conviction of fellow officer Derek Chauvin last month. The three officers – J. Kueng, Thomas Lane and Tou Thao — are free on bond. Their trial originally was scheduled to begin June 22. The delay, some legal analysts said, could indicate that the three are in plea-bargaining discussions.
