WINONA, Minn. – The cops know it’s often a bad sign when somebody’s driving after dark without lights. That’s why a deputy stopped Alexus Adrian Bartsch, 20, of Dakota, about 11:30 p.m. at Lafayette and Wabasha streets on the East Side. She consented to a blood-alcohol test. The reading was .17%, way too much. The legal limit is .08%. The deputy recommended a charge of gross misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.
