LACROSSE, Wis.— A man charged in a homicide at the Houska Park homeless enclave on Isle la Plume in June 2021 pleaded no contest. David Pearson, 36, was charged with reckless homicide. The judge entered a guilty plea for sentencing purposes. The victim, Cameron baker, 33, was stabbed with a one-inch knife in the chest after an altercation.
