WINONA, Minn. – A Winona man, Cortney Michael Hall, 40, damaged a smoke alarm while he was in custody at the Winona County jail. The jailer was not impressed. Hall was referred for a gross misdemeanor. Meanwhile, he was escorted back to a cell on other charges: Domestic assault by strangulation, misdemeanor domestic sssault and fifth-degree domestic assault.
