ROCHESTER, Minn. – A La Crosse man at Mayo Clinic for a CoVid test pulled a knife on a nurse and insisted he needed surgery, according g to a criminal complaint. Ramon Riba-Marmolego Jr., 18, was charged with second-degree assault and a terroristic threat. The encounter was strange: Surgery in lieu of a CoVid vaccination? When arrested, police said, Riba-Marmolego said he was anxious and had been confused and has no idea why he pulled the knife. The nurse was unhurt. She left the exam room and called security. A guard took the knife away.
