WINONA, Minn. – The parties that plan to convert the historic Exchange Building into a downtown boutique hotel are Latsch Development of Winona and Rebound Partners of Northfield, the Winona Post reported. For the project they have created a separate entity — named Winona Real Estate. The entity’s address was registered with the state as Northfield. The principals include:
> Lori Bonin, of Northfield, president of the Rebound Partners, which has numerous hotel properties In Minnesota and Iowa and is experienced in historic restorations.
> Brett Reese, of Northfield, managing principal of Rebound Partners, who listed himself in property transfer documents with the state for the Exchange Building transaction as registered agent for Winona Real Estate.
> Peter Shortridge, of Winona, of Latsch Development and also Riverfront Partners, which have been prominent in Winona preservation projects.
The new company bought the 120-year-old Exchange Building from Chase and Wendy Hoffman for $1.3 million.
