AUSTIN, Minn. – A man believed to be from Austin was shot and wounded fatally in a quiet, older residential section in northwest Austin. Pooice said they attempted life-saving measures but too late. The victim, an adult man, was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man was injured and transported to the hospital in a private vehicle, police said. The csll to police was about 1:35 p.m. The incident was in the 1100 block of Fifth Ave Northwest.
