WINONA, Minn. – Two children escaped serious injury in a two-vehicle collision on the Near East Side even though they weren’t belted in seat restraints. Both kids, age 9 and 6, had bloody noses, police said. An ambulance crew checked them out as otherwise fine. The accident was at Broadway and Walnut streets. Their sister was driving, police said.
