ST. PAUL, Minn. – The state Legislature needs to fund an additional 25 State Patrol troopers, State Representative Gene Pelowski, D-Winona, said in a KWNO radio interview. State Public Safety Commissioner John Harrington has requested the additional troopers, noting that he had to import officers from Ohio and Nebraska to help with security during the Derek Chauvin trial and the unrest after the shooting of Daunte Wright.
