MADISON, Wis. – A lobbyist for the Wisconsin Association of School Boards, Dan Rossmiller, expressed concern that a proposed state law could open the way for tiny pockets pf citizens to tie up school boards in costly litigation. At issue is a proposal by white Republican legislators to ban classroom discussion about black suppression as reality in US history. Rossmiller said local school boards are best position to make curriculum decisions for their districts. Under the proposal, he said, Parents could go to court against local schoolboard whenever they perceive the presence of a historical view on race that they don’t like.
