HAYFIELD, Minn. – A Waltham man died when two pickup trucks collided at a Highway 56 intersection three miles south of Hayfield. Ramon Lee Crews, 61, died on impact, deputies said. The other driver, David Ray Prouty, 68, of Mantorville, suffered non-life threatening injuries. He was taken 30 miles to a Rochester hospital to be examined. The collision was about 2 p.m. Crews was northbound, Prouty southbound. Conditions were dry, deputies said.
