ROCHESTER, Minn. – A Twin Cities man pleaded not guilty to breaking into a jewelry store, smashing a glass display case, and running off with a $2,600 item. Garrett Allen Dorsher, 29 of Stacy in Chisago County, was charged with burglary, theft, and damage to property. This burglary was overnight at one of the Lasker Jewelers stores in Rochester on April 14. Responding to a burglar alarm, police security video showed a man with a white cloth over his head breaking open the doors and then smashing the jewelry case. Dorsher was arrested three days later trying to pawn the stolen jewelry, according to the criminal complaint. His hands had fresh cuts, police said.
