WINONA, Minn. — Police responding to a request to check on the welfare of a person in the 1000 residential block of Gilmore Avenue knocked on the door and got no response. They looked in a window and saw the resident on the floor. An officer climbed through a window and determined that the person was alive but needing medical attention. The resident was taken to the hospital. This was all about 4:30 p.m.
