MINNEAPOLIS— The Swiss-owned mining company PolyMet announced it will appeal a Biden Administration decision that would delay if not kill the company’s proposed copper-nickel mine in northeast Minnesota. The chief executive of Polymet subsidiary Twin Metals, Kelly Osborne, said the company plans to move forward with the project under existing law. Osborne didn’t detail how going ahead can proceed in defiance of the order from the U.S. Interior Department for an environmental study that would delay the project at least two years, perhaps longer.
