WINONA, Minn. – The first snow accumulation of the season blanketed much of Winona County in the afternoon. There was 2-1/2 inches in places, although less in southern parts of the county beyond Dakota. Witoka had five inches. Temperatures hovered around 30. Roads were slushy and slick. Sheriff Ron Ganrude reported 11 spinouts.
