BARBAOO, Wis. – An external investigation has cleared Police Chief Mark Schauf of wrong-doing in a personal relationship with a city employee, the mayor announced. He’s back on the job. Schauf had been suspended 90 days. Mayor Mike Palm said nothing inappropriate occurred with city resources or on city time. The suspension was with pay. Schauf earns $99,000.
