WINONA, Minn. — William Earl Davis III, 80, of Winona, a physician in Winona going back to 1976, died. His medical degree was from the University of Minnesota. He also held a seminary degree from Luther College in Decorah and Luther Theological Seminary in St. Paul. As a seventh grader he became a licensed amateur radio operator. Later, at the Winona hospital, he created the first a sophisticated electronic medical record system in Minnesota. At Central Lutheran Church he often recorded Sunday services.
