COCHRANE, Wis. — William Joel “Bill” Meier, 82, of Cochrane, who worked at Gould Foundry in Lake City and later at Ashley Furniture, died at the Winona hospital. He also managed the bowling alley in Wabasha. He attended Alma Teachers College. and taught in Montana before moving back to Alma. He was a member of Alma School Board. He the Alma taught hunting safety more than 50 years. He served two years as Alma fire chief. He was a Cochrane village board member.
