HOUSTON Minn. – David L. Wechter, 92, a Catholic chaplain in Houston, died in retirement at the Hermits of St. Mary of Carmel monastery near Houston. He also served many years at Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary in Winona. He was ordained in 1958. The following year he went to Rome to study canon law.
