WINONA, Minn. – Ruth Eleanor Bambenek, 103, of Winona, who worked at Sears Roebuck in Winona and at McDonald’s. died at home. At the local McDonald’s she was one of the first women ever hired. She was involved in local politics. She loved reading Western novels, playing cards,, and knitting baby booties.
