WINONA, Minn. – Merle Andrew Blong, 86, of Winona, who operated Blong’s Tree Service, died with Alzheimer’s disease and rapid onset COVID. He lived on the Mississippi River near Twin Bluffs and built a signature A-frame home that he called Twin Oaks. He volunteered with the American Arborist Association to trim trees and shrubs at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
