WINONA, Minn. — Nancy Lou (Ellis) Hoffmaster, of Winona, a respiratory therapist, died at age 86. She also managed a department store for women’s clothing. Later in life she became an early childhood teacher. She lived in many places, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Oregon, Nebraska, Wisconsin and ultimately Winona. following her husband’s newspaper career. In 1967 in Hannibal, Missouri, she was named Woman of the Year.
