ROCHESTER, Minn. – After 45 years at radio news station KROC, reporter Kim David delivered his last story and retired. But he won’t stop writing. In the works, he said, is a novel that now can be a priority. David said he chose a news career when, as a disc jockey, he found himself playing Debbie Boone’s “You Light Up My Life” three times in one shift — and was still getting calls from young female listeners to play it again. Enough was enough and too much, he said.
