WELCH, Minn. – A head-on crash claimed the life of a Red Wing man. The State Patrol said that Nathan Bradley Hase, 35, was driving west on Highway 61 when his car collided with an eastbound vehicle driven by Aaron Patton Ferguson, 70, of Marion, Iowa. Hase died outright. Ferguson was airlifted to a Rochester hospital with what the Patrol described as life-threatening injuries. The collision was just after 6 a.m. at a rural intersection five miles west of Red Wing. Hase was in a 2014 Chevrolet Impala, Ferguson in a 2013 Buick Enclave.
