RED WING, Minn. — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded a $2.4 million contract to American Mine Services of Colorado to construct bulkhead slots on the auxiliary lock chamber of Lock and Dam 3 upriver from Red Wing. Navigation will not be affected, the Corps said. Completion is expected by December 2024. The project includes a new bulwark and new concrete monoliths and wall armor.
