ROCHESTER, Minn.— Because of deer overpopulation in city parks, the City has asked the Rochester Archery Club to organize an archery hunt. The overpopulation has heightened concern about the spread of lyme disease, said city forester Michael Nigbur. The deer also create traffic hazards, he said.  Nigbur said the hunts will be supervised to assure public safety. Hunters will be elevated stands and shooting down outward. Hunters will be allowed on some trails but only in larger wooded areas. Nigbur said. Applications.
