WINONA, Minn. — Everybody calls it Saint Anne’s — the high-rise nursing home at the far west end of Broadway near the College of Saint Teresa. But no more. The Benedictine Health System has changed the name to Benedictine Living Community Winona and is using a new logo. Connected facilities also are being rechristened too:
> Saint Anne Extended Healthcare to Benedictine Saint Anne.
> Callista Court to Benedictine Callista Court.
> Benedictine Adult Day Center to Benedictine Adult Day.
> Saint Anne Training Center to Benedictine Saint Anne Training Center.
Carol Ehlinger, executive director of the complex, said the new nomenclature honors the health care mission and ministry of its sponsor, the Benedictine Sisters of St. Scholastica Monastery in Duluth.
