WASHINGTON – Senator Ron Johnson, R-Wis., announced plans for a news event in Milwaukee with eight speakers whom he said have had bad experience Covid vaccines. The event will be Monday at the U.S. Courthouse. It was unclear whether the public invited – or just media. A week ago Johnson was chased with boos from a public Juneteenth event in Milwaukee. Johnson said the Covid event Monday will include former Green Bay Packer Ken Ruettgers, whose wife blames a severe neurological reaction pm the vaccine. John said the speakers will highlight “how the medical community has repeatedly ignored” concerns” about Covid vaccines. He just wants to give these people a voice, Johnson said. The senator’s record in Covid vaccines is muddled. He denies being anti anti-vaxxer yet has not been vaccinated himself. He claims to possess antibodies that make him immune. He has ardently opposed mandating vaccinations.

Johnson repeatedly has cited numbers from the federal Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System that suggest, without verification, that 3,000 deaths have occurred within 30 days of Covid vaccinations. These data, say, Johnson, are being suppressed by the medical community and Democrats. The fact: The VAEFRS allows anyone to submit a report with no checking on claims or whether a there was any causal connection. The system is ripe for crackpots.
