ALMA, Wis. — A 58-year-old Ortonville man was airlifted to a Rochester hospital after two-vehicle collision on Highway 35 near the Alma school. The other driver was taken to a hospital with less serious injuries. Deputies said Ronald Kennerly, 58, of Ortonville, in a 1998 Chevrolet Malibu, was passing in a no-passing zone when he struck a 2005 Saturn Ion driven by Dennis McGrath, 58, of Red Wing. Kennerly’s Malibu crashed into an embankment and rolled over on its roof. The highway, the main artery along to Mississippi River east bank from LaCrosse to the Twin Cities, on the Wisconsin side, was closed 1-1/2 hours. The accident happened about 8 p.m.
