ROCKORD, Ill. – An Army soldier, apparently on leave from his Florida post, was arrested at a bowling alley bar shorty aft six people were shot. Police Chief Dan O’Shea identified the suspect as 37-year-old Duke Webb. O’Shea said police have found no link between Webb and anyone in the bar. As police approached Webb he was trying to conceal his weapons, the chief said. Police captured Webb without a shot. The shootings were in an upstairs bar, where 20 and 25 people were congregated. Most hid, but three men, aged 73, 65 and 69, were cut down first, the chief said. The wounded:
> A 62-year-old man who underwent surgery for multiple wounds and was in critical condition.
> A 14-year-old boy, who was shot in the face and airlifted to a Madison hospital in Madison, which listed him in stable condition.
> A 16-year-old girl shot in the shoulder, who was treated at a hospital and released.

Upstairs bar. Because of COVID, the bowling alleys at Don Carter Lanes have been closed. The second-floor bar, where the shootings occurred, has double doors for ventilation to help comply with COVID regulations.
