MADISON, Wis.  – All Wisconsin from Prescott south has been declared at “very high” risk for wildfires. The state Natural Resources Department cautioned against burn piles and campfires. No burn permits are being issued. The alert stretches along the Mississippi River through Pierce, Buffalo, Trempealeau and LaCrosse counties all the way to the Illinois and Iowa borders.
